For this year's layered Christmas mantel garland I used a combination of five different types of garlands and lights. To make sure it all stayed put and hung the way I wanted it to, I started with the largest and heaviest garland first. I used a combination of basic unlit pine garland and wispy mixed greenery garland (shop similar).

These are authentic looking evergreen garland even though they are fake. I used pine garland on the bottom of the mantel, then added two Norfolk garlands over the top. Layering these garlands helps to flow over the edge and span the length of the mantel. Next, I added a eucalyptus garland for additional greenery.
